Dean’s Award Ceremony Honors Outstanding BHRM Minor SSM Students 2024

The Dean’s Award Ceremony for Bachelor of Human Resource Management Minor Social Security Management (BHRM Minor SSM) students was successfully held on 21 June 2024 at the Tun Abd Razak PERKESO Rehabilitation Centre (TRRC) in Ayer Keroh, Melaka.

The Dean’s Award Ceremony for Bachelor of Human Resource Management Minor Social Security Management (BHRM Minor SSM) students was successfully held on 21 June 2024 at the Tun Abd Razak PERKESO Rehabilitation Centre (TRRC) in Ayer Keroh, Melaka. This prestigious event celebrated the academic achievements of students who excelled during the PE221, PE222, and PE231 semesters.

The ceremony recognized students who achieved exceptional results, maintaining a Program Management Score (PMS) of 3.67 or higher. For the PE221 semester, one student received the Dean’s Award, while the PE222 semester saw an impressive 14 out of 18 students honored. For the PE231 semester, five students were celebrated for their outstanding performance.

The Dean’s Award Ceremony was organized to:

  1. Celebrate and acknowledge the academic excellence of BHRM Minor SSM students.
  2. Strengthen the relationship between students and the Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM).
  3. Motivate students to continue striving for excellence in their academic pursuits.

The event was graced by esteemed guests, including:

  • Prof. Dr. Russayani binti Ismail, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research & Innovation, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM)
  • Mr. John Riba Marin, Deputy Chief Executive (Operations), PERKESO
  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shuhymee bin Ahmad, Dean of the School of Business Management
  • Representatives from PERKESO and the Social Security Organisation Centre of Excellence (SOSCoE)

Their presence highlighted the importance of academic achievement and the strong collaboration between UUM and PERKESO in fostering excellence in education and social security management.

The Dean’s Award Ceremony not only celebrated the accomplishments of the recipients but also served as a platform to inspire other students to aim higher. The atmosphere was filled with pride and encouragement as faculty members and guests congratulated the awardees for their hard work and dedication.

In addition to the awards presentation, the event provided an opportunity for students to interact with the university's leadership and PERKESO representatives. This interaction fostered closer relationships and emphasized the role of academic success in building future leaders in social security management.

The event concluded with a heartfelt acknowledgment of the student’s efforts and a call for continued excellence in academics and beyond. Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Russayani binti Ismail remarked, “Your achievements today reflect your determination and discipline.
