SBM ONLINE: School of Business Management (SBM) recognise the contributions and services of lecturers in the effort towards achieving the best business school in the world at the Majlis Apresiasi Staf SBM (SBM Staff Appreciation Ceremony) at the EDC Hotels & Resorts, UUM recently.

The Dean of SBM, Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman Abdullah, described the event as part of the tradition that is being built by SBM to appreciate and celebrate each staff’s contribution.

This effort is based on SBM’s objective of being a high prestige institution.

“Heartiest congratulations to the staff given various awards, thank you to those who have worked hard until SBM is now a competitive and dynamic institution” he said.

He stressed that the success that was achieved is due to the teamwork spirit and cooperation among staff doing their work with the responsibility of always trying to achieve the performance indicator in line with the vision, mission and objective of SBM.

“We need to try our best in the effort to become a reputable global institution in both fundamental and applied research areas”

“At the same time we need to ensure the academic program meets the needs of the industry while providing new programs at the degree, master and PhD level.”

“We need to move fast to develop all of our degree programs in online mode, and in fact, the effort to have dual degree programs with renowned universities need to be implemented in future.”

“Let us work hard together, and not let some dust in our eyes brings us discomfort, let us make an example of those who are visually handicapped but does not let the disability be an obstacle to their effort to persevere.

“The best never rest” – make people like Steve Job, Usain Bolt and Michael Phelps inspire us, for behind their success, are thousands of hours of practicing their talent and skills.”

“This is not easy as it demands commitment, high level of discipline, teamwork, sweat and tears, yet I believe we can do this.”

“Thus if we understand what it means by the struggle to lift SBM to the level of the best business school, we need to be as one in each of the agenda we determined.

“Remember, not many institutions are able to maintain for more than 100 years if their members do not change”

“Thus, always strive to be the best, make yourself and your organisation the best in the industry and the world as the benchmark” he shared.
