SBM ONLINE: The School of Business Management (SBM), received an honourable visit from the Phuket Rajabhat University, Thailand on Monday, 4th June 2018. The delegation was headed by Mr. Songkhla Hongsavanos and accompanied by three other instructors, as well as a group of 75 undergraduate students from Bachelor of Human Resource Management (BHRM) programme. This is the first courtesy visit made by Phuket Rajabhat University to UUM and the visit was aimed to seek knowledge on postgraduate programmes as well as to establish close ties between both SBM and Phuket Rajabhat University.
The delegation was welcomed by the Dean of SBM, Professor Dr Haim Hilman Abdullah, Deputy Dean, Dr Khairol Anuar Ishak, Head of HRM Department, SBM, Associate Professor Dr Abdul Halim Abdul Majid and SBM Postgraduate Coordinators, Dr Wan Shakizah Wan Mohd Noor and Dr Nazlina Zakaria as well as Undergraduate Coordinator, Dr Nor Azimah Chew Abdullah.
The Dean of SBM, Professor Dr. Haim Hilman Abdullah, was pleased to share some interesting information about UUM and SBM, and put forward his views about the SBM future plan. Likewise the representative from Phuket Rajabhat University, Mr Songkhla Hongsavanos also delivered his talk about the Phuket Rajabhat University. The session was followed by a discussion between both parties on SBM postgraduate programmes as the Phuket Rajabhat University has future plan to set up the MHRM Programme in the next few years.
This visit has managed to achieve several consensus agreements such as the offering of programmes to the students who are keen to further their study at SBM-UUM and several other academic collaborations in research, training and consultancy. The delegation from Phuket Rajabhat University was delighted to meet the SBM team and look forward to develop a close ties between their students and faculty members with SBM and UUM.
