SBM ONLINE: The Research and Publication Committees, School of Business Management (SBM) organized the Research Writing Tips and Publication Process Workshop on May 22, 2018 at Kedah Room, SBM. The workshop aims to shed the light on research writing and publication guidance for academic staffs in SBM.

The session began with the opening speech by the Dean of SBM, Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman Abdullah.  Prof. Dr. Haim thanked the invited speaker, Mr. Ben Sng from Emerald Group Publishing, for his effort to come from Kuala Lumpur to share his knowledge in this workshop. Prof also encouraged the academic staffs to keep on writing at their level best and increase their commitment and discipline to build up the writing culture. In addition, Prof. Dr. Haim also advised the academic staffs to cite their peer’s articles as it is particularly important in achieving the school ranking.

The workshop continued with a talk by Mr. Ben S’ng, on Getting Published in Emerald journals. He shared about the writing tips, publication processes, as well as a list of Emerald journals for the participants as reference.  Furthermore, he discussed on the analysis of rejected papers and provide the proper writing structure to get the paper published. 

The workshop ended with Q&A session, concluding remark, and a group photo session.
