SBM ONLINE: The Research and Publication Committees, School of Business Management (SBM) has organized the Postgraduate Writing Workshop on May 02, 2018 at Kedah Room, SBM. The workshop aims to shed the light on writing and publication guidance for postgraduate students.

The session began with the opening speech by the Dean of SBM, Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman Abdullah.  Prof. Dr. Haim thanks to participants for their commitment and high discipline attitude. He encouraged the postgraduate students to keep on writing at their level best. In addition, Prof. Dr. Haim emphasized that in order to be the World’s Top 200 university in year 2020, students need to push their limit by writing and publishing in business-related Scopus indexed journal. The Dean ended the speech by saying “Let us make something extraordinary” for the school and he hope that the postgraduate students could come to UUM with hope and go back with victory.

The workshop continued with a talk by Mr. Ben S’ng, an invited speaker, from Emerald Group Publishing Limited on Guide to Getting Published in Emerald journals. He shared about the publication processes as well as research writing tips. Furthermore, he discussed on the analysis of rejected papers and provide the proper writing structure to get the paper published. 

The workshop ended with Q&A session, concluding remark, and a group photo session.
