SBM ONLINE: On Tuesday, 24th April 2018, the School of Business Management (SBM) has organized the First Roundtable International Collaboration Discussion. The programme aims to shed the light on issues concerning the challenges and difficulties faced by SBM agents in bringing new candidates and to establish strong relationship with respective agents in various Arab countries. The session also highlighted on various possibilities to increase the number of international students for the Intake of 2018.
The session began with the welcoming speech and opening remarks by the Dean of SBM Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman Abdullah, followed by a briefing from the Director of Centre for International Affairs & Cooperation (CIAC), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohamad Farizal Rajemi.
The session was chaired by Dr. Jamal Al-Ekam and was attended by a total of 38 participants. Several issues were raised and discussed throughout the meeting, which included family visa issuance difficulties, complexities of new student registration procedures, the amount of commission allocated for agents etc.
The participants were welcomed to voice out their concerning issues, ideas and suggestions in order to find solutions and facilitate their task in promoting SBM to the potential international students. The programme ended a concluding remark and a group photo session.
