SBM Online: The inaugural School of Business Management (SBM) PhD Symposium was held at SBM.  A total of 29 PhD students from management, entrepreneurship, marketing and human resource management participated in this symposium. The symposium served as a platform for the PhD students to present their research ideas. 18 SBM academicians were appointed as facilitators to provide insightful suggestions and ideas to improve the research ideas that were presented.  The symposium was officiated by Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman bin Abdullah, the Dean of SBM. In his welcoming note the Dean urged all PhD students to increase their publication especially in SCOPUS indexed journals which is related to business management.

Students presented their research ideas through parallel sessions that were conducted concurrently. Generally, the students found that the sessions were enlightening and beneficial especially in assisting them to identify their research problems and gaps. The session was also attended by Deputy Dean of SBM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fais bin Ahmad, Heads of Department and Program Coordinators of SBM.
