A delegation from Khon Kaen University visited the School of Business Management (SBM) on March 1, 2017. The delegation consisted of 5 academic members from the university and was headed by Prof. Pensri Jaroenwanit, Dean of Khon Kaen Business School (KKBS).

The visit to SBM was aimed at exploring opportunities for strategic collaborations between the two institutions. The delegation was warmly recieved by the Dean of SBM, Prof Dr Haim Hilman Abdullah, Deputy Dean, Assoc Prof Dr Fais Ahmad and accompanied by several other SBM committees. A briefing and discussion session was held and was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasnizam Shaari, Head of Marketing Department. Also present during the session were Dr. Kamal Izzuwan Ramli, Head of the Tourism and Hospitality Department and En.Ahmad Edwin Mohamed who is also from the same department.

Dean of KKBS, Prof. Pensri Jaroenwanit expressed her gratefulness for the opportunity to be able to hold a discussion with SBM and hoped that SBM is able to nurture a network through shared resources and academic expertises. She further added that KKBS is looking forward to sharing activities with SBM in any form that involves students and academic staff members. Among the projects planned are the students and staff mobility, short-term courses for students and staff, joint conference, research, consultation, joint supervision etc. She was also impressed with the recognitions acheived by UUM and SBM and expects SBM to be able to guide and assist KKBS in areas especially in matters involving the AACSB accreditation.
