A dialogue session with the School of Business Management's Master program students in UUMKL was held on 22.1.2017. The session was attended by the newly registered and current students of MSc. Management, Masters in Human Resource Management (MHRM) and Masters of Occupational, Health and Safety (MOSH). The dialogue session was conducted by the Dean of SBM, Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman Abdullah, seeking to get feedback from students on their expectations from SBM and UUMKL in particular and UUM in general, with the aim to assist them throughout their duration of study. During the session, Prof Haim welcomed any form of criticism, and suggestions for improvement from the crowd.
"Similar sessions will be continued in the future as I believe it can help to improve the quality of our services to our major customers, namely the students whilst ensuring the continuity of SBM postgtaduate programs as the preferred choice of students," explained Prof Haim.
The dialogue session was well embraced by the students and among the issues raised were related to library facilities, fees, academic staff members, supervision, parking costs, opportunities for further studies to PhD level, double-masters, and other issues pertaining to amenities.
Eddy bin Abdul Raub, a 6thsemester student from MOSH program said that, "this session was very meaningful to me and my colleagues as we are able to highlight the issues and questions directly to the Dean and the HRM Head of Department of the program that we are currently following." Similarly, Fazly bin Nordin, 2ndsemester student of MHRM and a member of the UUMKL Postgraduate Students Committee further added that , "I hope that such a dialogue can be held regularly."
The dialogue session was also attended by the Director of UUMKL, Dr Ahmad Rizal bin Mazlan, Head of the Department of Human Resource Management, Associate Prof. Dr. Hj. Abdul Halim bin Abdul Majid, lecturers and senior officials of UUMKL.
