Ayer Keroh, Melaka - The Social Security Management Centre of Excellence (SoSCoE), in collaboration with the Social Security Organization (SOCSO), successfully organized an Orientation Week for new students in the Bachelor of Human Resource Management with Honors [BHRM (Hons.)] program, with a minor in Social Security Management.
The event took place on December 8, 2022, at the SOCSO Rehabilitation Centre in Ayer Keroh, Melaka, providing an essential platform for university information and celebrating the induction of new students into the UUM community. Additionally, the event facilitated the smooth running of the BHRM (Hons.) program, ensuring that it adheres to teaching and learning standards. A special segment of the event also focused on teacher registration and safety briefing, conducted by a SOCSO representative.
The Orientation Week witnessed the presence of esteemed university officials, demonstrating their commitment to the success of the BHRM (Hons.) program. The distinguished guests in attendance included Prof. Madya Dr. Shuhymee Ahmad, the Dean of the School of Business Management, Prof. Madya Dr. Noraini Othman, the Deputy Dean of the School of Business Management, Prof. Madya Dr. Wan Shakizah Wan Mohd Noor, the Director of the Graduate Studies Unit, Prof. Madya Dr. Mohd Faizal Mohd Isa, the Deputy Dean of HEPA, Dr. Hadziroh Ibrahim, the BHRM Undergraduate Coordinator, En. Mohd Fadzil Samiran, a Senior Assistant Registrar, Prof. Madya Dr. Fadzli Shah Abd. Aziz, the Director of SoSCoE, and Cik Farah Khaleeda An-Nuur Roslan, a SoSCoE staff member. Additionally, a representative from SOCSO, the key collaborator in the event, was present.
The Orientation Week served multiple purposes, providing new students with crucial information about the university, specifically the School of Business Management (SBM). It also served as a warm welcome to the students, embracing them into the UUM community.
